Benefits of using psyllium husk in dogs and cats

  • Regulation of bowel movements – helps both in cases of diarrhea and constipation, normalizing stool consistency.
  • Support of intestinal peristalsis – naturally stimulates intestinal movements, preventing digestive problems.
  • Improvement of stool consistency – facilitates proper emptying of the perianal glands, preventing their stagnation and inflammatory conditions.
  • Support of weight-loss diets – increases the feeling of fullness and reduces the absorption of sugars, which promotes weight control.
  • Elimination of hairballs – facilitates the transport of swallowed fur through the digestive system, reducing the risk of hair bezoars forming.
  • Protection of the digestive tract – forms a layer of mucus protecting the mucous membranes from irritation and excessive acidity.
