Striated muscle is a source of highly digestible (up to 97%) and complete protein. It provides a supply of amino acids (including exogenous ones), minerals and other substances that are necessary for the proper functioning and development of the body.

Meat alone does not constitute a complete nutritional ration for dogs, so the addition of offal is necessary to balance it. Hearts and liver are among those with the highest nutritional value. The liver is a rich source of vitamins A, K, E and those from the B group. The heart provides, among others: phosphorus, zinc, iron, copper, manganese and niacin.

The appropriate combination of meat and offal in the right proportions helps to obtain a balanced meal and avoid body dysfunctions that result from an incorrect balance of the nutritional ration.
